What is par level?

With a par of 1, turning a room means stripping the bed, washing, drying and making it up again with the same linen. With a par of 3, one set is on the bed, one is in the laundry and one is ready on the shelf: rooms are ready sooner, guests wait less, each set is washed fewer times a month and the linen lasts longer.
