What a chain's standard sets
Every chain's brand manual defines what the textiles in its rooms and bathrooms must be. Looking similar isn't enough: each piece has to meet every parameter, in every order and in every country where the chain operates.
- Weight
- The weight of every towel and every fabric, which defines its body, its absorbency and how it feels in the hand.
- Thread count and weave
- Threads per inch and the weave, percale or sateen, which give the linen its feel and its strength.
- Composition
- The fiber blend: cotton brings the feel the guest notices, and polyester the service life the operation needs.
- Color
- The exact shade of white or of the brand color, matching from one order to the next.
- Sizes and make-up
- Dimensions by bed and piece type, hems, seams and the label in its place.
- Industrial laundering
- How the piece holds up through laundry cycles: no shrinking, no fading and no pilling.
