Environmental & social commitment
Sustainability in every textile we make
Textiles that withstand more washes, inputs with verifiable origin and an operation that generates its own solar energy.
The most sustainable textile is the one you don't have to replace
That's why sustainability starts with the product: in our own lab we validate how many industrial washes each fabric withstands, we choose inputs with verifiable origin and we reduce the footprint of our own operation.

Our sustainability pillars
Textiles that last longer
Before a textile base reaches a hotel, we validate its industrial wash cycles in our lab. A textile that keeps its color, shape and hand is replaced less often: lower cost for your operation and less textile waste.
Recycled, traceable raw materials
We favor recycled PET and polyester fiber in products with synthetic filling. We source fabrics, fibers and down from suppliers who certify the origin and traceability of their inputs, and we regularly assess their environmental, social and ethical performance.
A cleaner operation
The 224 solar panels at our facilities generate almost half of the energy the company consumes, and we reuse or recycle post-industrial waste from our production to reduce what goes to landfill.
Wellbeing of our team
40% of the women on our team are heads of household, and we run a high-impact social project with the La Once Foundation.
Seals on our inputs
OEKO-TEX vouches for textile safety; GOTS, for organic cotton; Egyptian Cotton, for the authenticity of Egyptian cotton; and Down Pass, for the ethical traceability of down.

These seals come with the raw materials: we source fabrics, fibers and down from suppliers who certify their inputs. Each certification covers the input that carries it and travels with the references made from it; it is not a certification of Distrihogar as a company. Your account advisor will confirm which references include them.
